Problem Statement
All the problems with the current version of the website were properly defined and documented.I was eventually able to mitigate them in the final design.
The webpage was too cluttered
Too many exit points
No application model
No clear navigation
Too many categories being shown
Outdated design
Goals
After properly understanding the problem
statements, the main goals of of the website
redesign were established
Declutter the landing page
Improve the site's navigation
Introduce a subscription model
Improve site analytics
Reduce the number of exit points
Upgrade the visual look
After studying the data metrics insights and doing competitor analysis, I went on to design the basic
Wireframe for the website.

Conception of the project began
with "Crazy 8'" exercised where I
quickly sketched 8 variations of
my website's homepage. Each of
these sketches took about 60
seconds and gave me several
great ideas or now to create mi
project. Afterwards, I took several
components of each sketch and
made one final design which
become my starting point for this
project design aimed at
championing social goodness.

A good responsive website is
designed from the ground up. For
this project, which is a scholarship
application website, I designed the
wireframe to include a hero image
on the top row, 2 giant image icons
in the middle row to indicate what
the program is about and the tvoes
of programs students can apply for.
The bottom row are links to the
partners who are sponsoring this
program as well the Oakland
community who this scholarship
is made for.
